Voyage: Madrid

Mary & Iain had been to Madrid once, passing through a decade ago for a whirlwind weekend, on their way to a music festival Iain played. The city helped spark their love of Spain so they decided to start their journey here. The week was filled with exploring, visiting art museums, shopping, taking long siestas followed by late nights on Calle Cava Baja eating and drinking. It was the perfect start to the trip and despite a little jet lag, the energy of the city kept them going. Maybe a little too hard... they were nearly wiped out by the time they met up with the others in Barcelona...
