2012!!!

This will be our last post in 2011...we gladly welcome 2012 with wide stretched arms and open hearts. Everyone has their own traditions for New Years Eve, some a little more superstitious than others. We have collected a few that might inspire you.

Wear red and yellow panties to bring you love and success.

Eat 12 grapes at midnight, one for every month of the year.
For prosperity and luck! Try freezing and popping them
in your champagne.

At midnight walk with your suitcase outside
to ensure travel. We will definitely be doing
this one!

Make sure if you have a fire going not to let it go out!

Make as much noise as possible at midnight to scare away evil spirits!
We recommend good old pots and pans and go for it...

At midnight, all the doors of a house must be opened to
let the old year escape.

One of our favorites is kissing at midnight...which
ensures love and affection for the next 12 months.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy Holidays!

Sorry for the lack of posts, we've been busy soaking in the holidays... spending time with family & friends, eating, drinking, sleeping in! We hope you have been up to some of the same!

Candice is off to Florida so we celebrated Christmas together a bit early... I couldn't wait to share some of the incredible gifts she got me. Isn't it amazing how well sisters/friends know each other? Always such beautiful, thoughtful gifts... I love you, Candice!

I freaked out a little on these earrings... I mean, what? Crazy good stuff.

Stunning book...

In Aztec astrology, I'm a rabbit and Iain's a snake.

Tin milagro ornaments to add to my collection.

Sabroso: Sugar & Spice

Fig spice cupcakes with honey cinnamon buttercream + Coquitos. Amazing. Delicious. Totally dangerous holiday combo.

Sabroso: Abuelas

This time of year makes us miss our grandmothers. We can't help but feel they are with us when we partake in some of their favorite things.

Nonna's cilantro soup passed on to us via Tia Margery, Cocina Eclectica. The color is fitting for the holidays but it is delicious served cold in the summer too.

A little knitting lesson for Candice. She didn't want to be watched hence the knit curtain.
